Thanks Jon.

- maybe the folder is created only on demand, and you haven't 'demanded' it

Please tell me how to demand. I saw staticexport is enabled in
opencms-importexport.xml. So I suppose, it is enabled. If I have not
demanded it, it should not be exported in other containers.

- maybe different file permissions apply in your Weblogic set-up, and the
> account under which OpenCms is running can't create the folder

I am running on Windows. So I suppose file permission is of not too mucha
problem. But I am not sure whether weblogic has its own settings. If you
know please let me know. Thanks.
